Deducted by Stripe at the point of payment — we never see or touch your 90%. Covers payment processing (~3%), safety infrastructure, AI review, verification, and legal aid partnerships.

Pass with 8/10 and earn your certification. When someone calls you a "paid agitator," you get to say: "I'm certified in nonviolent action, de-escalation, and legal rights. Are you?"
Verify Your Identity with Stripe

Stripe Identity — the same verification system used by Shopify, Lyft, and Instacart — matches your face to your document using machine learning, checks for fraudulent IDs, and validates against government databases. We need to know you're real because your supporters need to know you're real.
Set Up Stripe Connect
~5 minThis is how you get paid. Since you already verified with Stripe Identity, Connect setup is fast — add your bank account details and confirm your info. Here's the important part: supporter payments go directly into your Stripe balance. We never hold your money. There is no escrow. Stripe deducts the 10% platform fee at the point of transaction — the remaining 90% is yours immediately.
Earn the Blue Badge (Optional)

Proof of Action
How to document your work using legal observer standards — timestamped photos, video with context, attendance verification, and written impact summaries. What our reviewers look for and what gets flagged.
Prohibited Conduct
The bright lines: incitement to violence, property destruction, weapons at any action, threatening individuals, blocking emergency access, fabricated proof, and fund misuse. Zero tolerance, no exceptions, no appeals.
Safety Tools
Real safety planning: buddy system setup, designating an off-site jail support contact, writing emergency contacts on your arm, encrypted Signal groups, Safety Mode activation, and real-time hazard reporting.
De-escalation
Research-based techniques for tense situations: active listening, maintaining boundaries, the 5 D's of bystander intervention (Direct, Distract, Delegate, Delay, Document), and using rhythm to shift crowd energy.
Know Your Rights
ACLU-sourced First Amendment law: what's protected in public forums, when permits are required, your right to record police, and the arrest protocol — remain silent, request a lawyer, don't sign anything, don't consent to searches.
Financial Accountability
How funds flow: direct to your Stripe balance, 10% platform fee at transaction, no escrow. Plan for 10-15% of credit card charges failing. Your obligations to supporters and what happens if you don't complete an action.

Build Your Campaign
Describe your planned peaceful action and build your budget — a list of specific needs, each with an amount and when you need it. Need $400 for posters before the rally? Mark it as upfront. Have a milestone like "venue confirmed" where you'll need the next chunk? Set a milestone goal. Willing to do the work first and get paid after? That's the easiest pitch — supporters love funding people who've already put their plan into action.
Get Funded
Your campaign goes live with your full budget visible. Supporters browse your needs and fund the ones they're comfortable with — someone might cover your $400 poster printing upfront because it's worth the risk to them, while another backs your milestone goal, and someone else pledges $50 that only gets charged after you submit proof.
Take Action
Do what you said you'd do. Upfront funds are already in your bank — use them. Future-need funds hit your Stripe balance as those dates arrive. Activate Safety Mode during your action for real-time hazard monitoring. Document everything — photos, videos, attendance, location. This is your proof.
Submit Proof & Close Out
Upload your impact report: photos, videos, attendance data, and a written summary. Our verification team reviews it. Once approved, any remaining post-action payments are charged and released to your bank account via Stripe Connect. Every supporter — regardless of when they paid — receives the report so they can see exactly where their money went.
